Ceci Thunes

State Advocacy Manager, Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation at Community Catalyst

Ceci Thunes is a State Advocacy Manager for the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation. In this role, Ceci handles relationships with state-based advocacy organizations throughout the country, providing advocacy campaign guidance to consumer advocates, providers, and policymakers who are working to improve state and local health programs to better serve the needs of consumers, particularly those who are low-income or have complex health challenges.

Before coming to Community Catalyst, Ceci was a behavioral health policy specialist with Idaho Voices for Children. There she led a stakeholder group of behavioral health consumer advocates who collectively raised awareness of, and offered recommendations for, Idaho’s fractured behavioral health care system. Their influence and credibility ensured their inclusion in shaping integration efforts in Idaho, especially as they relate to the consumer experience. Before that, Ceci worked with bicycle and pedestrian advocates to include more funding from Idaho’s Legislature for Safe Routes to School education and projects. Ceci holds a BA in Economics and a minor in Political Science from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
