Jennifer Cortes, MSW, LMSW, serves as the Project Manager for the Together for Medicaid program. In this role, she is responsible for managing a portfolio of state campaigns, providing technical assistance to advocacy partners, developing the program’s sub-granting strategy and facilitating the learning community among other duties. Prior to joining Community Catalyst, Jennifer worked as the Mission and Strategic Outreach Coordinator for Susan G. Komen Louisiana. Through her work with Komen Louisiana, she significantly increased the affiliate’s impact on the breast health and breast cancer needs of the community through a variety of outreach, education, and advocacy initiatives. Jennifer also has a background in the mental health field. She understands the importance of quality healthcare and its impact on individuals, children, and families. These experiences along with many others have fueled her passion for improving access to care. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master of Social Work from Valdosta State University.
