Jim Ernst is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in consumer credit and lending. Currently serving as the Director of Consumer Credit and Indirect Lending at Community First Credit Union since April 2021, Jim previously held the position of Consumer Lending Underwriting Manager within the same institution. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President at BB&T Dealer Finance from May 2006 to September 2020, and as Finance Director at Browns Automotive Group from October 2002 to May 2006. Jim also spent two decades at First Virginia Bank, where Jim held the role of Vice President. Jim Ernst earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Bridgewater College.
