Katie Zarroli is an accomplished accounting professional currently serving as Assistant Controller at the Community Foundation for Greater Richmond since January 2021. Previously, Katie held the position of Senior Tax Analyst at Cherry Bekaert LLP, where employment extended from October 2009 to January 2021, culminating in a role as Tax Manager. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Tax obtained from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business in 2009 and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems, also from Virginia Tech, completed in 2008.

Founded in 1968, we have built a strong legacy of helping people and institutions give back with passion and purpose. By working side by side with a powerful and growing network of changemakers, the Foundation has become the largest community foundation in Virginia and the third largest in the Southeast. Today, we manage more than 1,000 charitable funds with assets totaling $876 million. This includes six supporting foundations that have chosen to fulfill their charitable legacy in partnership with us, as well as three regional affiliates that were established to address the needs and interests of the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Since our inception, we have collectively granted $1 billion to thousands of nonprofits working in all areas of community life.
