Mark Sutton has extensive experience in financial leadership roles, with a focus on budgeting, strategic planning, and fiscal oversight. Mark is currently serving as the Senior VP and CFO at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta since 2022. Prior to this, Mark worked at United Way as the Executive Vice President and CFO from 2017 to 2022. During their tenure, they led the digital transformation of the network and managed a team of professionals in finance, IT, operations, and merchandising/vendor relations. Before joining United Way, Mark held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at United Way of Greater Atlanta for 17 years, where they oversaw the organization's fiscal affairs and directed real estate operations. Mark also served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Association County Commissioners of Georgia from 1994 to 1999, responsible for financial reporting, asset management, and budget development.
Mark Sutton attended The George Washington University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with a focus on Accounting. Mark has also obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a Commercial Pilot (CP) certified by the Federal Aviation Administration, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certified by the Lean Six Sigma International Association of Professionals.
