David Knott

David Knott is an experienced leader in public policy and social action, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The National Lottery Community Fund since October 2020, with prior roles including Interim Chief Executive Officer and Senior Adviser. Knott is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Centre for Charity Effectiveness. From January 2017 to October 2020, Knott was the Director of the Office for Civil Society at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, overseeing key government policies related to charities, volunteering, and social enterprise.
