James Simmons currently serves as the Behavioral Health Program Manager at MyCHN, where responsibilities include crisis prevention coordination and call center representation since July 2021. Previously, James held the position of Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist at PB Behavioral Health from May 2017 to September 2019, focusing on compliance with state and federal regulations, incident reporting, and facility audits. James has also contributed to various roles in customer service and management across several companies, including Tom Thumb as a Night Manager, managing high-volume communication and departmental reconciliations, and Global Views as a Customer Service Representative, assisting sales teams. Additional experience includes accounts payable at Samsung Telecommunications America, mortgage modification at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, and extensive roles in credit operations at Town North Bank and Bank One. James holds a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical/Clinical Assistant certification from the American Institute of Science and Technology, along with a diploma in Business from West Aurora High School.
MyCHN
MyCHN is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris County, Texas, that provides professional growth and development in a group practice providing primary health care for adults and children, women’s health services, behavioral health, and general dentistry. MyCHN is dedicated to continuous quality improvement and the ideal candidate will work within a team to ins e comprehensive and excellent care. MyCHN clinics are dedicated to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and practices. In 2015, MyCHN elected to develop an open source electronic health record and modify it to support the needs of an FQHC. MyCHN partnered with Williams Medical Technology in this endeavor which required significant additions to the system; including, design, documentation, reporting, workflow, and billing. MyCHN's key staff members and Williams Medical Technology programming staff meet at least weekly to further the development of interoperability, clinic workflow, decision support systems, data warehouse, and patient communications.
