Roger MacDonald

Roger Macdonald is an accomplished media and research professional with extensive experience in founding and directing initiatives focused on digital media, television, and strategic research. Currently serving as the Founder of the TV News Archive and Internet Archive Fellow at Internet Archive since June 2011, Roger Macdonald builds a public interest television news research service utilizing closed captioning for enhanced search capabilities. As Executive Director of the Media-Data Research Consortium since October 2019, Roger Macdonald leads efforts in media data analysis and partner development. Previous roles include co-founding and directing research at several organizations, such as Link TV, Global Alliances, and the Gorbachev Foundation. Roger Macdonald holds a BA in History from Antioch College, graduating in 1974.
