La Compagnie Ivoirienne d’Électricité est un opérateur privé qui est en charge de la fourniture de l’électricité en Côte d’Ivoire depuis 1990. Elle est liée à l’État de Côte d’Ivoire par une convention de concession qui lui confère l’exploitation des ouvrages de production, de transport, de distribution. Elle a à sa charge la commercialisation de l’énergie électrique sur l’ensemble du territoire national et dans la sous-région. La CIE est une société privée de droit ivoirien, filiale du groupe ERANOVE.
