Lawson Whatley

Lawson Whatley is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in managing electrical aspects of capital projects across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Nutrien and PotashCorp since May 2017, Lawson leads electrical management for capital projects, including overseeing the design and procurement of significant substation and control car sleds. Previously, Lawson held the role of Senior Lead Electrical Engineer at Compass Minerals, managing electrical projects across three mines, and was instrumental in capital project management at Georgia-Pacific LLC and First Quality. Early career achievements include significant electrical project management at Procter & Gamble, contributing to power distribution, motor control centers, and system upgrades. Lawson holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Florida, obtained from 1979 to 1983.
