Steve Baird

Steve Baird is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in marketing and strategic management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at Compassion Australia since August 2024, Steve previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at International Justice Mission Australia from August 2020 to November 2023, where responsibilities included overall management, strategy creation, and leading a team of 30. Prior to that, Steve was Head of Marketing for Velocity Frequent Flyer at Virgin Australia for over seven years, focusing on business growth through digital and marketing strategies. Additional roles include advisory positions with the Australian Loyalty Association and board membership with Rising Generations, along with a substantial tenure at Qantas in various marketing and strategic planning roles. Steve holds a Commerce degree from the University of Sydney and furthered education at AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
