Deven Shinde is a Bachelor of Technology student specializing in Metallurgical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, expected to graduate in December 2026. Currently serving as General Secretary and sub-head of the Core Organising Team and Publicity Team at COMPOSIT, Deven also holds the position of Co-Founder at SkillShodh and works as a Business Development Intern at Websciences. As a Senior Member at Vectorify, Deven manages operations for a student mentoring platform focused on competitive exams. Additional experience includes roles as Social Media Manager for Maharashtra Mandal at IIT Kharagpur, Project Intern at YHills with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, and Product Intern at Funkooz. Deven has previously contributed as a Core Organizing Team Member for Kshitij at IIT Kharagpur and has engaged in AI projects during academic training.

Congress of Metallurgical Professionals involving Students, Industry and Teachers (COMPOSIT) is a national meet conducted by the Society of Metallurgical Engineers (SME), Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur.
