Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult was established in 2018 by Innovate UK to help the UK become a global leader in compound semiconductors. We have a world-leading team of experts with the know-how, experience and track record in developing and commercialising compound semiconductor technologies and applications. We bring compound semiconductor applications to life in three key areas: the road to Net Zero, Future Telecoms and intelligent sensing. We are trusted partners of large companies, SMEs, and academia. We help de-risk new innovations and act as a neutral convener, bringing innovators, industry and academia together. CSA Catapult is a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in South Wales and with a presence across the UK. We have capabilities in power electronics, advanced packaging, RF & microwave, and photonics. The next wave of emerging applications will have an enormous impact on our lives. Compound semiconductors will enable a host of new and exciting applications in the electrification of transport, clean energy, defence and security and digital communications markets.
