Dr. Shelby

Dr. Shelby is a seasoned investor currently with Compound since July 2022, following a substantial academic and professional background in plant science and bioscience enterprise at the University of Cambridge. As a PhD Candidate in Plant Science, Dr. Shelby focused on synthetic biology and microbial-algae interactions while earning recognition as a Cambridge Trust/Newnham Graduate Research Scholar. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at Hummingbird Ventures and Team Lead at Start Codon, where Dr. Shelby coordinated due diligence efforts for early-stage healthcare start-ups.
