Omar joined Nets in June 2018 and is accountablefor Nets’ eCommerce division. Its focus is to be the local eCommerce expert helping merchants and partners sell more online and across channels with a seamless payments service.
Omar joined Nets from Worldpay, where he was Worldpay’s Chief Transformation Officer, leading the transformation of Worldpay’s Ambition 2020 and its merger of Worldpay and Vantiv. He was previously Worldpay’s interim Group Strategy Director and led its post-IPO strategy, including the response to PSD2 and creation of the public and government affairs program. Omar has held senior leadership roles at Cisco Systems, Symbol Technologies, Electrocomponents and Old Mutual, leading teams in strategy, sales operations, architecture, and engineering.
