Concordia College
David Eyler has extensive experience in music education and performance, currently serving as Emeritus-In-Residence Professor and Professor of Music at Concordia College since August 1986. Eyler teaches applied instruction and directs both the Concordia Percussion Ensemble and Marimba Choir. Additionally, Eyler has performed as the Principal Timpanist for the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra since 1985. Previous academic roles include Assistant Professor of Music at Moorhead State University from 1987 to 2001 and Band Director/Music Teacher at St. Jude School from 1985 to 1987. Eyler also held various positions during graduate studies at Louisiana State University and The Ohio State University, focusing on percussion performance. Eyler holds a Master of Music and a DMA in Percussion Performance from The Ohio State University and Louisiana State University, respectively, as well as a BS in Music Education and Percussion Performance from Frostburg State University.
