Danielle Blackburn's work experience includes the following roles at different companies:

- Chief Officer at Condor Ferries since April 2022.

- Third Officer at Royal Fleet Auxiliary from June 2021 to May 2022.

- Third Officer at Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) from December 2018 to April 2021.

- Chief Officer at Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries LTD from March 2018 to December 2018.

- Deck Officer Cadet at Trinity House from September 2014 to September 2017.

Danielle Blackburn received their Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Operations Management from Solent University in 2019. Prior to that, they completed their FDSc in Marine Operations at Warsash Maritime Academy from 2014 to 2017. Danielle also attended Truro College from 2011 to 2013, and Truro High School for Girls from 2007 to 2011.
