Teressa Barillas

Teressa Barillas holds the position of Assistant General Counsel in Legal Innovation and Operations at Con Edison since March 2014, where responsibilities include leading a team of legal operations and technology professionals to enhance various legal processes. Prior to this role, Barillas worked for the New York City Law Department from September 1990 to March 2014, serving in multiple capacities including Director of Litigation Support, where oversight of electronic discovery and matter management systems was a focus. Other roles encompassed supervisory and managerial positions in the Bronx and Manhattan Tort Divisions, as well as the Housing Authority Unit, showcasing extensive experience in legal management and litigation. Barillas began a career in risk management at JCPenney and holds a JD from New York Law School and a BA from Iowa State University.
