Stella d'Ambrumenil has a diverse work experience history. Stella currently works at Configit as a Product Owner and Tech Writer, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Data Management and Software Centre (DMSC) at the European Spallation Source ERIC from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they worked on the Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud (PaNOSC) EU Horizon 2020 project, developing online science tutorials and improving the user experience for teachers and students. Before that, Stella worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the Institut Laue Langevin from 2017 to 2020, where they completed their PhD in collaboration with the University of Reading, UK. Stella'sresearch focused on analyzing inelastic-neutron-scattering data and carrying out density-functional theory simulations. Stella also has experience as an Editor for PLOS ONE science journal at Editorial Office Ltd in 2015, where they performed ethics and formatting checks on scientific papers and communicated with authors. Additionally, they worked as an Oxbridge tutor at Cam Express Education Consultancy in 2014, providing chemistry tutoring and guidance to Chinese students applying to UK universities.
Stella d'Ambrumenil earned a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Reading, specializing in Condensed Matter, from 2016 to 2020.
