Thomas E. Schuster has held various roles throughout their work experience. Thomas E. started their career at DDC-I A/S in 1987, where they initially worked as a Software Engineer, focusing on embedded, real-time, safety-critical applications. Thomas E. later became a Support Manager, responsible for pre- and post-sales activities for EMEA countries and transferring knowledge to the US operations.
In 2003, Schuster joined Rovsing A/S as a Project Manager, working on the ground segment support for the International Space Station (ISS). Thomas E. then advanced to become a Business Line Manager, overseeing ISS-related projects and internal IT operations. Eventually, they were appointed as the R&D Director for Support & Infrastructure, managing a budget of 18 M DKK and leading a team of seven engineers.
Schuster then joined cBrain A/S in 2009 as a Consultant, where they were responsible for customer support and deployment of cBrain F2 at customer sites in both private and public sectors. Thomas E. served as a liaison between customers and their IT operations and coordinated with customers and their suppliers.
Since 2014, Schuster has been working at Configit, initially as a Senior Project Manager, managing global delivery and implementation projects for Configuration Lifecycle Management solutions, primarily in the automotive and industrial machinery sectors. Thomas E. also became the Program Manager for key accounts and played a role in defining and implementing a project management framework. In 2016, they took on the role of PMO Manager at Configit.
Thomas E. Schuster pursued their education between 1977 and 1986. From 1977 to 1980, they attended Zahles, where they obtained a General Certificate, A levels. Subsequently, Thomas E. Schuster enrolled at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1980 to 1986, specializing in Computer Software Engineering and completing a Master's degree.

Configit based on ground-breaking academic research by Professor Henrik Reif Andersen and Ph.D. Henrik Hulgaard, the company’s current CEO and CTO, respectively, as well as students at the Danish IT University and Denmark’s Technical University. Configit’s products and solutions are based on the patented technology Virtual TabulationTM, whichenables handling of complex manufacturing models with billions of potential combinations. In 2014, Configit acquired 3DFacto, which is particularly strong within visualization, solution configuration and CAD and PLM integration.
