Matt Strom

Matt Strom is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leading financial operations within prominent technology companies. Currently serving as the Sr. Director and Head of R&D Finance at Confluent since 2021, Matt oversees financial management for engineering, pricing, cloud margin, and G&A finance. Previously, Matt held the position of Finance Director at Splunk, where leadership was provided for the Product and Technology Finance organization. Additionally, Matt spent eight years at Aruba Networks as Director of Finance & Business Operations, and served as a Sr. Financial Analyst at 2Wire and a Financial Analyst at Apple. Matt holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and a BS in Finance and Accounting from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
