Robin Chan has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2010 with an internship at the Illinois League of Women Voters, where they collected information for a petition and attended an educational conference on redistricting. In 2011, they worked as a Development Coordinator and later as an Intern and Administrative Assistant at the IMD Guest House Foundation, where they collected guest information, assisted with fundraising, and maintained relations with donors.
In 2012, Robin interned at the Illinois Department of Human Rights-Fair Housing Division, compiling documents for completed cases and gaining experience in the intake process for filing complaints. They also worked as a Guest Relations Manager and later as the Director of Operations at the IMD Guest House, fostering an environment of care and overseeing the organization's growth. They developed performance measures, managed projects, and enhanced the organization's online presence.
Starting in 2016, Robin joined the Strategic Management Society as a Senior Program Manager, a role they held until 2021. They recently became an Operations Manager at the Palliative Care Quality Collaborative at the Association Management Center.
Overall, Robin's work experience shows a strong background in operations, program management, and relationship building within nonprofit organizations.
Robin Chan attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban and Public Affairs with a focus on Urban Politics. In 2011, they also briefly studied Urban Planning and Policy at Politecnico di Milano. Additionally, in the same year, they pursued a Certificate in Federal Fair Housing Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Recently, in May 2021, Robin Chan obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
