Sara Hynes has had a diverse range of work experiences. Sara started their career as a Volunteer at the Kenneth Young Center from June 2009 to August 2011. Sara then interned at NAMI and Breakthrough Urban Ministries in 2013. Sara also attended the LeaderShape Conference in June 2012 as a Graduate. Sara worked as a Student at Elmhurst College from August 2011 to May 2014. During this time, they were also a Member at the Niebuhr Center for Faith and Action from February 2012 to May 2014. In 2014, they worked as a Sales Associate at Victoria's Secret from April 2011 to August 2014. Sara then became a Staff Intern at Campus Crusade for Christ from January 2014 to June 2015, where they developed skills in evangelism, discipleship, and fundraising. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at NAMI DuPage as a Community Education Coordinator and later as the Community Education Director. In these roles, they managed budgets, developed mental health training curriculums, and coordinated presentations and classes for various organizations. Since 2019, they have been working at the Association Management Center, first as an Education Coordinator and then as an Online Learning and Education Manager. In their current role as a Senior Manager of Operations & Education, Sara is responsible for developing the association's educational/content strategy, researching new education products, and ensuring program compliance with policies and standards.
Sara Hynes attended Elk Grove High School from 2007 to 2011, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing their high school education, they attended Elmhurst College from 2011 to 2015. While at Elmhurst College, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Spanish and Psychology, and a minor in Communications.
