Matthew Claypool has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and project management, primarily at Connexus Energy since December 2013. As the Manager of GIS, Distribution Design and Field Operation Support, Matthew oversees teams focused on enhancing the reliability of the distribution system while supporting the company's strategic initiatives. Previous roles at Connexus Energy included Supervisor of Geospatial Services, where Matthew led major projects and managed the enterprise ArcGIS platform, and GIS Application Analyst, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis with Microsoft PowerBi. Prior to Connexus, Matthew held various positions, including GIS Specialist at Larsons Digging and GIS Data Coordinator Intern at Midcontinent Communications, solidifying a strong foundation in GIS technology and operations. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Geographic Information Science from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Gustavus Adolphus College.
