Qing Chen

Qing Chen is a highly experienced professional in reservoir engineering and data science, currently serving as a Staff Reservoir Engineer at ConocoPhillips since October 2008, focusing on low carbon technologies, CO2 capture, and storage. Qing's expertise includes the development and implementation of innovative data-driven reservoir modeling technologies for subsurface production performance prediction. Previously, Qing held roles as a Staff Reservoir Engineer and Sr. Reservoir Engineer, where responsibilities included field development and operation, as well as developing recovery processes for unconventional heavy oil reservoirs, particularly in Canadian oil sands. Prior internship experiences at ExxonMobil and Chevron provided foundational insights into heavy oil recovery processes. Qing holds a PhD and an MS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
