Ryan Golten is a seasoned mediator with extensive experience in natural resource issues, currently serving as a Senior Mediator at the Consensus Building Institute since January 2017. In this role, Ryan facilitates collaboration among diverse stakeholders on complex water, land, and environmental justice matters, particularly in western Colorado and California. Prior to this position, Ryan held roles including Senior Mediator at CDR Associates and Mediator-Facilitator in law and consulting from 2011 to 2013. With a background as an attorney focused on land and water rights at New Mexico Legal Aid and experience as a law clerk with the New Mexico Supreme Court, Ryan's early career includes leadership roles in various nonprofit organizations. Ryan earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of New Mexico School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the University of Michigan.
