Kristen Walker Painemilla serves as Senior Vice President of the Center for Communities and Conservation and Managing Director/Senior Vice President of The Policy Center for Environment + Peace at Conservation International since June 2012. Kristen also holds the position of Chair for the IUCN Commission on Environmental, Economics and Social Policy since September 2016. Prior experience at Conservation International includes various leadership roles from 1999 to 2011, focusing on Indigenous and traditional peoples programs, program development, and strategic engagement. Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University in 1997.
