Dayton Jones has a strong background in telecommunications and engineering. Dayton started their career as an Electronics Technician in the US Navy from 1988 to 1994. After leaving the Navy, Dayton joined Consolidated Communications in 1994 and held various positions throughout the years. Dayton began as a Network Engineer IV and worked in that role until 2015 when they became the Manager of Network Inventory, Tools, and Automation. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Technology Development, and as of August 2022, they are currently serving as the Director of Optical Engineering at Consolidated Communications.
Dayton Jones attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree. Dayton studied Electronics and Business Communications during their time there.
