Igor Aurrecoechea began their career in 2003 as a Buyer Packaging Italy at Danone. Igor then worked as a European Category Manager Packaging at Alcoa in 2006, followed by a role as European Lead Buyer Packaging at Budelpack International from 2007 to 2009. Igor then became the European Purchasing Manager Packaging at Refresco Holding from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2023, Igor worked at Avery Dennison, initially as the European commodity manager films and later as the Global Procurement Lead Films. Currently, they are the Global Lead Films & Resins, Senior Vice-President Procurement at Constantia Flexibles, starting from 2023.
Igor Aurrecoechea has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, which they obtained in 1997. In 1999, they completed their DESS degree in International Commerce and Management from Université de Bordeaux. In 2017, they obtained their OneMBA - Global Executive MBA in International/Global Studies from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Igor also holds a certification as a Certified Supply Chain Professional from APICS, obtained in 2008.
