Allyson Tenney

Allyson Tenney has extensive work experience in the field of product safety and textile flammability. Allyson started their career at Alpha Industries, Inc. in 1997, where they worked in international sales accounts and product development. In 1999, they joined the American Textile Manufacturers Association as a Standards Associate. In 2000, they moved to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), where they held various roles. Allyson served as the Textile Flammability Team Leader in the Regulatory Enforcement Division until 2014, and then became the Director of the Division of Engineering. In these positions, they conducted research, product testing, and compliance assessments related to electrical products, fire safety, and textile flammability.

Allyson Tenney holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Textile Science from The Ohio State University.
