Dirk Klingner is an experienced technology analyst with a strong background in consumer electronics and information science. Currently serving as an Emerging Technology Analyst at Consumer Reports since March 2012, Dirk monitors and analyzes emerging technology and social media trends, creating daily internal alerts based on extensive research. Previously, Dirk worked as an Electronics Industry Analyst at Consumers Union and held the position of Webmaster at Consumer Reports. Additionally, Dirk has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University and served as Assistant University Librarian for Systems and Networks at Pace University, where Dirk contributed to the development of the university's first web page. Dirk holds a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University and an MS in Information Science & Policy from the University at Albany.
