Senior Director, Testing And Research at Consumer Reports

Maria Rerecich has a strong background in product testing and engineering. Maria worked at Consumer Reports from 2013 to the present, starting as the Director of Electronics Testing and later becoming the Senior Director of Product Testing. In these roles, they managed the evaluation of consumer electronics products and played a key role in developing the Digital Standard for product testing criteria. Prior to their time at Consumer Reports, Maria worked at SMSC for several years, holding various engineering and management positions. Their responsibilities included managing circuit design engineering teams, overseeing product release and support, and leading validation and design engineering groups. Maria has extensive experience in chip development and managing third-party IP blocks.

Maria Rerecich attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Maria continued their education at MIT from 1981 to 1983 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
