Michael Stermer is a seasoned UX/UI designer with extensive experience in design and creative leadership. Currently serving as a Senior UX/UI Designer at Consumer Reports since October 2019, Michael also operates as an Independent Design Consultant through The Stermer Effect, providing design, branding, and development services to a diverse range of clients. Previous roles include Creative Director at CafeMedia, where oversight of a design team ensured consistent visual styles across multiple brands, and Art Director for CafeMom, contributing to the successful launch of gaming initiatives. Earlier professional experiences include significant positions at Myspace, Vonage, Enspire Learning, and Thinkwell, where Michael honed skills in web design, animation, and illustration. Michael earned a BFA in Film/Animation and Video from the Rhode Island School of Design.
