Sean Rathjen began their work experience in 2000 as the CEO of Blackhawk Community Credit Union. Sean held this position from July 2000 until March 2004. In March 2004, they transitioned to become the CEO of Consumers Credit Union, where they have remained in that role.
Sean Rathjen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the State University of New York College at Potsdam, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services at the University at Albany, SUNY, from 1987 to 1989. In 2014, Sean Rathjen obtained a certification as a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) from the Credit Union Executive Society.
