Angela Thompkins

Angela Thompkins serves as Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Consumers Energy, with a notable background in diversity and inclusion roles, including Executive Director and Head of Diversity and Inclusion. Angela has also held positions as an adjunct professor at Henry Ford Community College and HR Manager at US Foods. Additionally, Angela’s experience includes serving as Director of Government Affairs & Community Relations and Director of Fair Housing at the Legal Aid and Defender Association, as well as State Relations Manager at Chrysler LLC. Angela holds a Master of Laws in Labor and Employment Law from Wayne State University Law School and a Juris Doctor in Litigation from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
