David Ramsey currently serves as President & CEO of Continental General since February 2019, following a prominent career in actuarial leadership. Prior to this role, David held various senior positions, including SVP & Chief Actuary at National Western Life and SVP, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer at Continental LTC, Inc. Responsibilities spanned a wide range of actuarial functions, including pricing, reinsurance negotiations, and financial valuation. David’s early career included roles at Great American Insurance Group, Actuarial Resources Corporation, and Bailey, Ramsey & Associates, which was led by David. Educational qualifications include an OPM from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Actuarial Science from Ball State University.
