Jennifer Ortega

Jennifer Ortega is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in managing public relations, marketing, and community engagement initiatives across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications and Community Relations for the Contra Costa Community College District since February 2025, Jennifer oversees internal and external communications, public and government relations, and political advisory matters. Previously, Jennifer held roles including Community Relations Manager for the City of Concord, where responsibilities encompassed external communications and public awareness campaigns, and Director of Communications at Carondelet High School, leading branding efforts and media relations. With a strong foundation in strategic communication and community involvement, Jennifer has also contributed as a board member for the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District and worked for notable organizations such as ReadyNation and Fight Crime: Invest in Kids. Jennifer holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley.
