Lou Martin

Lou Martin is a Machine Learning Research Intern at ControlRooms.ai since July 2024 and currently a researcher at the PLUS Lab at UCLA, focusing on parameter extrapolation techniques and emergent capabilities in merged language models. Previously, Lou served as a Software Engineer at ControlRooms.ai from July 2022 to September 2023 and contributed as a member at Startup Labs UCLA from January 2023 to April 2023. In 2021, Lou founded L.O. Martin & Co., successfully generating $65,000 in revenue through strategic sales on Facebook Marketplace. Lou's research experience includes collaborating with a physician-scholar team at the University of Massachusetts, leading to a publication in the Journal of Personalized Medicine. Lou is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at UCLA, expected to graduate in June 2025, following a high school education at The Branson School from 2017 to 2021.
