Erika Hillemacher currently serves as the Head of User Experience at Simpology Australia since September 2024. With extensive experience in user experience consultancy, Erika has been the User Experience Consultant at hillemacher Pty Ltd and Contxtual since August 2008 and September 2017, respectively. Previously, Erika held roles such as Customer Experience Design Lead at Westpac and User Experience Consultant at Mobile Experience Pty Ltd. Erika also contributed to the industry as Head of User Experience at ABC Innovation and as Director of Product Design & Development at myhome.com.au. Erika began career as Creative Director for User Interface Design at 3 Mobile, Australia, after working as Team Leader for Brand Identity at Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux and as Senior Designer for Corporate Identity at Hesse Designstudios. Erika holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Information Design from Middlesex University, earned in July 1990.

After 12 years of being Mobile Experience, we are now Contxtual. Contxtual is a User Experience consultancy specialising in Research, Strategy and Design. Our highly experienced team has worked on a range of novel and innovative user experiences and interface designs over the decades, including the early days of the web, mobile, IoT, conversational, kiosk, in-car and wearables. We are also exploring and creating the future of user experiences and interaction design for the next era of computing - Spatial Computing.
