Hamid Hashemi

Hamid Hashemi is an experienced executive with a notable background in operations, real estate, and entertainment. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for Properties & Investments at Hudson's Bay Company since November 2021 and Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Convene since April 2022, Hashemi oversees strategic planning and new investments. As Principal at Hashemi Holdings, LLC since January 1995, Hashemi has also held significant roles including Chief Product & Experience Officer at WeWork, where involvement in the company's restructuring contributed to a successful IPO in October 2021. Previously, Hashemi founded and led IPIC Theaters, transforming the movie-going experience, and Muvico Theaters, recognized for excellence in profitability and customer experience. Hashemi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Florida Atlantic University and pursued medical education at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
