Pete Echavarria

Pete Echavarria is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Control Center Operator II at Convergent Energy and Power since April 2024. Prior to this role, Pete worked at NovaSource Power Services as a Control Room Operator IV, responsible for monitoring and controlling a vast network of over 300 PV solar power plants and 20 BESS assets across North America. During tenure at First Solar, Pete managed more than 250 PV solar power plants, ensuring compliance with NERC standards. Pete's foundational experience includes serving as a Nuclear Electrician's Mate in the US Navy, where responsibilities involved monitoring a nuclear propulsion plant and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University, Pete's educational background includes a high school diploma from Trevor G. Browne High School, earned in 2008.
