Evan Chan

Evan Chan has extensive work experience in software engineering and data architecture. Evan is currently working as a Principal Engineer / Architect at Conviva, specializing in high-performance streaming, big data, and software architecture. Prior to this, Evan held roles as a Staff Software Engineer at Mysten Labs and a Senior Data Engineer at UrbanLogiq. Evan also worked at Apple as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the development efforts for FiloDB, a distributed time series database. Before Apple, Evan served as a Distinguished Engineer at tuplejump, inc., where they created FiloDB and worked on data warehousing applications. Evan has also held positions as a Principal Engineer at Socrata, Staff Software Engineer at Ooyala, and Software Engineer / Project Lead at VMware, Inc. Evan began their career as a Design Verification Engineer at Cradle Technologies.

Evan Chan attended Stanford University from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
