Joiana Hooks

Joiana Hooks is a Designer II at Cooper Carry since October 2021 and a Board Member at Habitable since September 2021. Previously, Joiana served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the University of Minnesota College of Design from August 2021 to January 2023, focusing on the Development & Implementation of Research in architectural scholarship and practice. Prior experience includes working as a Data Analyst & Research Intern at Meyer Borgman Johnson from January 2020 to January 2021, where research was conducted on construction processes to reduce material waste, and as an Architectural Designer at Harris + Smith from June 2016 to June 2019, involved in all design phases and construction documentation. Joiana holds a Master of Science in Research Practices in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Architecture from Hampton University, completed in May 2018.
