Ryan Schmidt, MD, FASAM has a diverse work experience in the field of addiction medicine and internal medicine. Ryan currently serves as the Program Director for the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Cooper University Health Care since July 2018. In September 2021, they also took on the role of Medical Director at The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper. Prior to this, Dr. Schmidt worked as a Fellow at Caron Treatment Centers from June 2017 to July 2018. Ryan began their medical career as an Internal Medicine Resident at Temple University Health System from June 2013 to June 2016 and later served as the Chief Resident from June 2016 to June 2017.
Ryan Schmidt, MD, FASAM completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland in 2008. Ryan then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth between 2008 and 2013.
