Christopher Schmitz

Christopher Schmitz is a seasoned professional in the financial technology sector, currently serving as Partner in Strategy and Transactions at EY-Parthenon since July 2020 and as a member of the Senior Advisory Board at Copenhagen Fintech. With extensive experience at EY since 2011 as EMEIA FinTech Leader, Christopher leads initiatives involving tech start-ups and incumbents to shape the digital landscape of financial services across various subsegments including FinTech, InsurTech, and AI/ML. In addition, Christopher has held academic roles as a lecturer at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and has served on the board of directors at SimPlan AG. Earlier career milestones include positions at Finanz Informatik GmbH, Booz & Company, IBM Consulting Group, and Deutsche Bank AG. Christopher holds an MBA/MSc from Technische Universität Darmstadt, with a focus on Tax Law, Accounting, and Computer Science.
