Ashesh Jain has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of Coram AI. Prior to this, they worked at Lyft, where they held several roles including Director of Engineering and Head of Autonomy, Director of Engineering and Head of Perception, and Senior Engineering Manager. At Lyft, they led teams responsible for building machine learning first Autonomy stack and neural networks for Autonomous Vehicles.
Before joining Lyft, Ashesh was an Engineering Manager at Zoox Inc., where they led the sensor fusion and 3D tracking team. Ashesh started their career as a Research Scholar in Computer Science at Stanford University, where they initiated and led projects such as Brain4Cars and RoboBrain. Ashesh holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University, specializing in Machine Learning, Robotics, and Computer Vision. Ashesh has authored multiple papers and received recognition for their work, including the Best Student Paper Award at CVPR 2016.
Ashesh Jain received their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2007 to 2012. Ashesh then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Cornell University from 2012 to 2016.
