Marieke de Wal is a seasoned professional in organizational development and collaboration processes. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor and Researcher at DRIFT for transition and a Member of the Accreditation Panel at the Partnership Brokers Association, Marieke also holds a position on the Supervisory Board of Cordaid. In an academic context, Marieke is the Organisational Lead for the Design Impact Transition platform at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Previous roles include Managing Director of the Partnerships Resource Centre at Erasmus University's Rotterdam School of Management, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at PAX for peace, and Member of the Supervisory Board at Solidaridad Network. Cordaid mobilises global networks, resources, and knowledge to tackle root causes of conflict and fragility in some of the most conflict-affected countries. We link relief interventions to longer-term development aid and adapt our interventions to levels of fragility. In seven inter-connected fields of expertise we use results-based financing to create durable social impact. All our interventions are community-based.
