Mike Hunter

Mike Hunter is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in emergency preparedness and training. Currently serving as Chief of Emergency Preparedness at CoreCivic since April 2013, Mike also holds the title of Director of Tactical and Emergency Training. Previously, Mike held similar roles at Corrections Corporation of America and served as Director of Security at International Launch Services from September 2009 to April 2013. Mike's background includes training in WMD, ICS, and law enforcement at SAIC and project management experience at Community Research Associates. Mike's career in law enforcement began as Chief of Police for the City of Lewisburg from September 1981 to November 1998. Academically, Mike earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Martin Methodist College and has continued education through Northwestern University Traffic Institute since 1996.
