Mario Alonso

Mario joined Corix’s executive team in 2020. In his current role, Mario is responsible for the strategic management of Corix's accounting and finance functions, as well as leading the development and execution of Corix’s strategy of organic and acquisition-based growth.

Mario was most recently Executive Vice President at Dynegy. While there, he helped transform Dynegy from a small, primarily coal-fueled electric power generator to one of the largest diversified gas-based electric power generation companies in the industry, through both organic growth and acquisitions. He was instrumental in executing the company’s vision of a sustainable, long-term growth strategy.

Mario received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
