Melanie Kavanagh

Melanie brings over 11 years of experience providing accounting advisory services to both public and private companies of all sizes across various industries, with a focus in the life sciences industry, as well as the manufacturing and consumer goods industries.

Melanie has extensive experience supporting clients with their debt and equity transactions, filling interim SEC reporting roles and assisting with SOX implementations. She also assists clients and leads CFGI engagement teams through complex accounting areas such as stock-based compensation, purchase accounting and internally developed software.

Prior to joining CFGI, Melanie was a manager of consolidation reporting and a SOX analyst at a multibillion dollar global food and beverage company that included extensive financial statement analysis, complex technical accounting and policy documentation and maintenance. Additionally, she is an alumnus of Deloitte’s Boston and Chicago audit practices.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Bentley University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
